Los Angeles + Philadelphia based photographer Ellei J. of infamous website Shadowscene has announced the release of her new band, “Biker Daughter”.

Ellei J announced that she will be periodically putting down the camera and picking up a microphone with the release of a 5 song EP (on Sonata Cantata) by her new band, “Biker Daughter”. Her music is just as vibrant, unique and fun as the parties and people that her photography captures from coast to coast, providing the perfect soundtrack to her life.

Originally founded in 2002 while she was still a New Englander, Shadowscene encompasses the photography, writing, fashion, art & humor of Ellei J. With early roots stemming from Boston’s underground music scene followed by an extensive insider’s view at some of the biggest culturally influencing movements, she is now highly recognized for bringing her visions and unique street shooting style to the masses. Ellei has spent the past few years bouncing around back stage coast to coast with her camera and will now continue on this path albeit branching out through this new creative outlet.

Ellei was profiled in The LA Times and featured in LA Weekly’s “People of LA” issue for 2009. Her photos have been published in Vanity Fair, SPIN, Lounge (Egypt) URB, BPM, Alternative Press, JANE, Slap, Paper, NYLON and Glamorous Magazine as well as featured in the film, “Punk’s Not Dead.”
